| Anecdote | before __ ___ 1927 | Fishponds Workhouse, Bristol; it is believed that when his niece Mary worked in Wills, each year at Christmas tobacco and cigarettes were taken to the workhouse as presents for the inmates and one year she was chosen to go with other workers to go there and her Uncle Charles was in there at that time.
