Event-Misc3 Dec 1930an article appeared in the Nottingham Evening Post about a young lady, Daisy Hyde, who obtained two dinner frocks, value £2 19s 10d, by false pretences from H Quail, draper. She said she wanted them for dancing. She was put on probation for two years and banned from attending dances. [12]55
